TC57, TURKEY (Special Event). Members of the Turkish group called SWAT (Special Wireless Activity Team) will be active as TC57A from Canakkale - Gelibolu Peninsula, April 22-26th. Activity is to commemorate the 57th Regiment Martyrs who lost their lives in World War I. Operation will mainly be on 40/20/17/15 meters. TA - TA1HZ and the "TC Special Wireless Activity Team" (http://tcswat.tripod.com) will operate as TC57A on 22-26 April in remembrance of the role played by the 57th Infantry Regiment of the Turkish Fifth Army during the Dardanelles Campaign (Canakkale Savaslari) in 1915. Expect activity on 15, 17, 20 and 40 metres.

TURKEY, TA. Special event station TC57A will be QRV from April 22 to 26 to commemorate the battle of Gallipoli, which took place in 1915 on the Dardanelles strait. Activity will be on 40 to 15 meters. QSL via TA1HZ.
