VK9DWX

VK9W - Gerd, DJ5IW and Robert, SP5XVY have joined the group of German operators who will be active as VK9DWX from Willis Island (OC-007) on 9-27 October [425DXN 872]. QSL via DJ2MX. They plan on having four stations with full legal power, operating at the same time and also on the same band in different modes, if necessary. Verticals will be used on all bands, with arrays from 80 to 10 metres and beverages for better receiving possibilities on the low bands. Operations on 6 metres are being considered, but the results might not be worth the effort - "let us know", they say, "how strong you would support a 6m operation" by leaving your comments on the DXpedition's website. Updates and further details, including information on how contribute to the expedition, can be found at http://www.vk9dwx.de
